The Forster Tuncurry Employment Lands Implementation Strategy was adopted by Council on 10 November 2009.  The Strategy has been prepared by Hill PDA Consultants on behalf of Great Lakes Council to provide Council with a clear framework on which to plan the provison of areas for employment related activities (specifically retail, bulky goods, commercial and industrial) over the next 25 years in the Forster Tuncurry area.

A key objective of the Strategy was to identify and recommend mechanisms that could be used to attract a diverse range of employment generating businesses to Forster-Tuncurry.  To this end a range of planning, social, fiscal and marketing mechanisms have been recommended.
