Draft Local Environmental Plan Amendment No.76 - various lands at Tuncurry

The draft Local Environmental Plan Amendment No.76 and supporting documents where exhibited from 3 December 2008 until 21 January 2009.

Draft Great Lakes Local Environmental Plan (Amendment No. 76) proposes to rezone various land at Tuncurry to a combination of 2(a) Low Density Residential, 7(a1) Environmental Protection and 7(b) Conservation. The subject lands are situated immediately west of existing urban development in Tuncurry and collectively comprise an area of approximately 185 hectares.

The purpose of the rezoning is to implement:

(i) The findings and recommendations of the Local Environmental Study for Chapmans Road, North Tuncurry, and

(ii) The agreed outcomes arising from the court appeal process for DA1105/05, including the related Voluntary Planning Agreement (VPA) entered into between Great Lakes Council and the major landowner on 29/2/08.
