Various Divisions within Council administer and process applications associated with development.  Some of these applications include the following:

  • Damage Bond Application.
  • Driveway Levels Application.
  • Landscaping / Tree Bond Application.
  • Public / Civil Engineering Works Applications.
  • Application for Approval of Subdivision Plans (Application for Subdivision Certificate)
  • Application to Undertake Works within the Road Reserve / Erect a Hoarding.

Listed below are details of the above applications.

Damage Bond Application 

Your development application approval (the Notice of Determination outlining your development conditions of consent) may require that you lodge a Damage Bond Application.  The purpose of paying a damage bond to Council is to:

  • Fund any necessary repairs to Council assets that have been damaged during the development/construction process and that have not been repaired by the developer; and
  • Ensure that the developer complies with Council standards and specifications in relation to driveway construction.

Driveway Levels Application 

A Driveway Levels Application (urban or rural) is required to be submitted when you wish to construct a driveway or modify an existing driveway to your property.  Your development application approval may also require that you lodge this application.  For further information and to download the relevant application form, please refer to Driveway Construction

Landscaping / Tree Bond Application

Your development application approval (the Notice of Ddetermination outlining your development conditions of consent) may require that you lodge a Landscaping / Tree bond Application.  For further information in relation to this application, refer to the relevant condition of consent and the Landscaping / Tree Bond Application form.

Public / Civil Engineering Works Application

Multiple Dwelling Development

If you are constructing public / civil engineering works within a public road reserve or public open space, such as public road, footpath or kerb and gutter, as part of your development (eg. multiple dwelling) you are required to lodge a Public Engineering Works Permit Application.  For further details regarding the requirements of this application, please refer to the Public Engineering Works Permit application form.

Subdivision Development

If you are constructing public / civil works in association with a subdivision, you are required to lodge a Subdivision Construction Certificate Application.  Please refer to the application form and the Subdivision Process for additional information.

Application for Subdivision Certificate (Approval of Subdivision Plans)

An Application for a Subdivision Certificate is to be submitted to Council in order for Council to approve either Torrens Title or Community Title subdivision plans.  For further information and to download the application form, please refer to the Subdivision Process.

Works within the Road Reserve and Hoarding

If you wish to undertake works within the road reserve / footpath, such as major stormwater connections, works requiring a cherry picker be located on the footpath/road, or if you wish to erect a hoarding, you are required to seek Council's approval prior to commencing works.  For further information refer to Working within the Road Reserve - Section 138 Roads Activities and Hoarding.
