Mission Statement

The Friends of the Great Lakes Library Service Inc. is an association of community members who value our library and demonstrate support through membership and volunteer participation.

Who are Friends?

Friends are an organised, independent group, working to encourage the extension and improvement of library services in the Great Lakes Shire.

Friends are people who know that a community with a first-rate library is a better place to live.

Friends love books and enjoy meeting people with similar interests.

Friends of the library bring together involved, caring people who are willing to work for excellent libraries.

More information is available on the Friends of Libraries Australia (FOLA) web address: www.fola.org.au

Improve lines of communication between the library service and the public.

Initiate and assist with projects related to the Library.
