Great Lakes 2030

Plan currently under review

Great Lakes Council has implemented the Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework introduced by the NSW Government in 2009.  The framework requires all NSW councils to prepare a long term community strategic plan, four year delivery program, annual operational plan and resourcing strategy to support the community's plan.

The framework opens the way for councils and their communities to have important discussions about funding priorities, service levels and preserving local identity to plan in partnership for a more sustainable future.

Great Lakes Council has endorsed the first community strategic plan, Great Lakes 2030 and has adopted supporting plans that outline how the plan will be delivered, and the role of Council, the community and other agencies in the delivery.

These pages provide information on the integrated planning process and associated plans.
