| Details | The Fellowship of Australian Writers was formed in 1928 to encourage working
writers. Then the aim was to foster an Australian outlook to literature
in contrast to the accepted English standards. Now membership is open to
anyone who loves writing poetry or prose, amateur or professional and, presently,
a school- age section is being trialled in some divisions. Great Lakes Regional FAW meets every second Friday each month in the Myall Lakes Meeting Room from 1 to 4pm (check in at front desk). For each meeting there is a set assignment which can be presented as a short story or a poem, along with regular talks and exercises to help improve writing skills. New members and visitors welcome! |
