Cultural Industry Marketing

Are you a commercial artist or gallery?
Do you display or sell local art and craft?

Great Lakes Arts Network (GLAN) and Great Lakes Council are calling for expressions of interest to become involved in joint marketing initiatives such as website/s and touring brochures. Depending on the level of interest received, Great Lakes Council is considering the development of a 'Hand Made in the Great Lakes' publication to showcase our local cultural industry.

Enquiries can be directed to Council’s Community Development Coordinator on 65917221 or Economic Development Manager on 6591 7390

GLAN Management Plan

In 2002 and 2004 as part of GLAN’s charter of community engagement, GLAN held strategic planning workshops to provide an opportunity to develop initial strategic projects, acknowledge and review GLAN’S progress, identify new needs and opportunities and set future strategic goals.

This Management Plan 2005 – 2007 is the outcome of the GLAN Strategic Planning Workshop held on Saturday 18th September 2004. This plan will be superseded when a Cultural Plan for the Great Lakes is developed.

The plan has refined GLAN’s mission, roles, goals and strategies for the next two years.

GLAN aims fall in the following areas:

Communication and Marketing
Facilities and Venues
Community Cultural Development
Integrated Cultural Planning
Strategic Partnerships
