The 2000 Great Lakes Community Profile has been prepared by Great Lakes Council in association with the Hunter Area Assistance Scheme.

The Profile outlines statistical data and community service information:

to assist the Local Ranking Committee and Regional Advisory Committee in determining priorities for Area Assistance Scheme funding;
to assist Great Lakes Council, local community service groups and relevant Government Departments in their planning for the development of services and facilities to meet priority community needs; and
to help business people determine the viability of establishing or expanding businesses in Great Lakes.

This document was compiled by Graeme Frost (the Community Development Officer) with valuable assistance from Catherine Crowley (the Community Development Assistant) and Janet Thompson, (Business Support Officer).
