TURTLE TIME
Participants 2 yrs - 5 yrs. Parents in attendance. Younger siblings welcome.
This program is designed to develop the love of reading. Being read to, understanding and learning about life, feelings, and the environment, situations in life and problem solving methods are all skills that are subtly introduced to children during storytelling sessions. Craft activities which relate to the stories being read reinforces the meaning of the story and the child's understanding and interpretation of it. The craft activities assists in developing motor skills, co-ordination and function. These sessions provide an opportunity for social interaction with other children, thereby creating joyful experiences that will become treasured memories. Connecting the magic of print, language and general knowledge will ultimately provide the skills to read. If a child can comprehend, concentrate and understand, reading will come almost automatically. Having these skills prior to school will make learning effortless and truly enjoyable.
Turtle Time sessions are held every Monday @ Tea Gardens - 9.30 am and every Wednesday @ Forster - 10.30 am
All sessions are free of charge and no bookings are required... just turn up and have some fun!
