New and Popular books can be found on new book stands at a number of our library service points.
Dive in for a Good Read - If you see a bookmark sporting a turtle and a good read recommendation this means one of our library borrowers thinks the book was great. If you enjoyed reading something make sure you put your own "Dive in for a Good Read" bookmark in it when you return the item. Dive In bookmarks are available at the front counter.
What Author Can I read Now?
We've got a great range of pamphlets available at our libraries that tell you about authors that write like each other. So if you've got a favourite author maybe the pamphlets can help you find even more 'favourites'.
There are some excellent books on our shelves that can guide you to 'great reads'. You can find these by searching our catalogue, using the phrase 'Best books' in a subject search. If you're not sure about how to do this please ask one of our friendly staff for assistance.
There are hundreds of websites that you can visit to get some tips on who to read. The following are a sample recommended by the State Library of NSW.
