The library continues to keep pace with changing community needs whilst supporting the traditional services that public expect and deserve.
Each year our Information Services team ensure thousands of new items are added to the collection and old, outdated stock is removed. This is a constant and challenging task, particularly as new formats are often emerging onto the market.
If you have need a hand to find something in our collection any of our friendly staff will be happy to help you out. Just ask. If the enquiry requires further research the Information Services section will undertake an in-depth search on your behalf. Enquiries can be submitted online by emailing the Reference Librarian.
The library strives to provide a positive experience for our patrons. All our staff work tirelessly to make your visit a satisfying one. Our Customer Services section make sure the quality of service remains high across all of our branches. For details of locations click here.
The library also provides access to a wide range of technologies, which are overseen by our IT section. All our branches provide free public access Internet, with the Forster and Tea Gardens branches also providing free wireless Internet access. In addition, Forster Library provides technology that allows disabled Internet and PC access.
At Great Lakes we also are actively involved in events for the whole community. Our Outreach Services section holds many activities, programs and events each year.
