Home Library Service

If you have difficulties getting to the library we have a range of services that can help you out.

Community Bus - In Forster there is a library run every Wednesday afternoon. Telephone 6554 5447 for information and bookings.

Visual Disability Service - If you have a vision disability and coming to the library via the community bus is not option you can contact us about our Vision Disability Service. Staff select items from a special collection of talking books. These items will be held at the library for your friends or family to collect.

Home Library Service - If you are physically unable to visit the library and the Visual Disability service is not suitable then our Home Library Service (HLS) might be the solution.

The HLS can arrange to have material selected for you and delivered to your home. This is a free service.

Please contact the Forster Library on 6591 7256 and ask to speak to the Home Library Services Officer. Residents in the Tea Gardens/Hawks Nest area can contact the Tea Gardens Library on 4997 1265 for details. This service is also available to residents of nursing homes and retirement villages.

Staff at nursing homes and retirement villages can contact the Home Library Service Officer to discuss additional support services to their organisations.
